I like this!
I'd push back on "lifecycle" and propose a different version of that sentence: "Scientific models drawn from the social, ecological, biological, environmental, and geophysical sciences need to work together to provide an integrated representation of the complex world in which we now live." This would remain agnostic on computational vs other models, and reaffirm the core value that models should be interoperable/integratable.
How about revising the 3rd graf to: "This vision can be realized through a common suite of ethical standards, protocols, and model development best practices that enables modeling scientists to share knowledge and build on one another’s research." Does that capture the lifecycle point (or at least sufficiently gesture at it)?
Between „life cycle“, „modeling“ and „model“ I think „modeling“ best captures the conceptual part
From a separate post, I propose to add “engineering” to the list of sciences.
A globally connected humanity is now a major driver of diverse earth system processes, creating a complex, planetary socio-ecological-technological system that exceeds our innate capacity to anticipate the consequences of societal decisions and actions. Modeling is critical to enhancing ethical analytical and decision-making capabilities for policy and planning, environmental management, resource investment, and security preparedness.
Our vision is to enable ethical modeling efforts across domains of human and Earth systems sciences and engineering to work together to provide an integrated representation of the complex world in which we now live. This vision can be realized through a common suite of standards, protocols, and best practices that enables modeling scientists to share knowledge and build on one another’s research.

Just to beat a dead horse... shorter is better. Here are some vision statements examples:
.... so delete the first paragraph and keep it short and pithy :)
It's so much harder to formulate a short one than a long one. Let's face it people hire special companies for many $$ to do that.
If we agree to make it shorter, I think the examples would guide us pretty well. Should we say something about why "Open" is in OMF?
For the T-shirt of @danames: "Inclusive modeling for the future: FAIR, open and ethical."
Sounds good, Bert.

Could add "standards-based" somewhere in that short vision statement. Could also add back the "human and Earth system" phrase.
Might not be good to use an acronym like FAIR in the vision statement.

We need a new generation scientific model lifecycle drawn from the social, ecological, biological, environmental, and geophysical sciences that can work together to provide an integrated representation of the complex world in which we now live.
This vision can be realized through a common suite of ethical standards, protocols, and best practices that enables modeling scientists to share knowledge and build on one another’s research.
