Maybe, I found with ponds that a lot of the pond_poly polygons had island-shaped holes in them, so the islands weren't technically "within" the polygon in a geometric sense. Past-me emailed out that it only seemed to apply to ponds, but maybe past-me was wrong. Or it could be something else...
I see an interesting case with workslice 1226, some of the islands in Havelock River are =land, others right next to them =coastline.
Hi,
Steve added a within_linz_layer DB column for the island_poly layer, to convert from natural=coastline to natural=land when the island falls within a lake, pond, etc. and is not coastal.
In workslice 1209 you'll see that islands within river_poly have not been tagged. The stats page shows counts somewhat lower than I'd expect for the number of islands within lakes, rivers, etc for the mainland -- many of them missed?
thanks, Hamish
