OaklandWiki creates lots of useful content about civic issues and resources, but primarily text-based.
OO creates a lots of useful dataviz sites about civic issues and resources, but primarily maps, graphics (dataviz).
How can we combine these two strengths to make each even better?
I've been thinking in relation to the budget project, but could apply to many OO projects. For the budget, we need written content and don't have the resources to create it; meanwhile, OaklandWiki is already the best collection of this content and has an active community. Would be silly to duplicate.
Wouldn't it be great if a dataviz project could easily tap into existing written content (lots of contributors, constantly updated) in a way that seamlessly integrates with that site?
