Updated Data #13

It looks like this data has not been updated since 8/26/2014. What is the process for updating it? Is it derived from some other data provided by the city of Oakland?

It was a one-time survey conducted by ABAG on behalf of the City of Oakland. I'm not totally sure if when owners retrofit if they actually submit information to the City about that beyond the permit information.

Since the only requirement was that building owners evaluate the safety of their buildings, or necessarily retrofit them, there is no requirement beyond obtaining a building permit that they report the retrofits to the city.

"there is no requirement beyond obtaining a building permit that they report the retrofits to the city" -- I was just curious if there is updated data on if more buildings reported these retrofits or if any of the ones that did not respond did so after this data was published.

Thanks for the info though; this is really useful dataset!

One could add a way to report retrofits to OpenOak! (How to verify would be hard, maybe require a permit reference or something and link to it)
