We've recently set up an automation to push the website contact form to the Steering Committee channel in Slack. Because this channel is open to all members and is within our publicly-accessible "walled garden" of Slack, we want to make sure site visitors are aware of this when they complete the contact form so they can make an informed decision when contacting us.
Proposed solution
In a visible but de-emphasized manner on the /contact page, add the following disclaimer:
Your message will be posted to the Steering Committee channel in OpenOakland's Slack group. A volunteer team member will get back to you as soon as possible.
