Adds Github Actions workflow for test. #104

Change to gitignore to ignore Mac OS Finder configuration files.

Unfortunately, I don't think that the workflow will run until this PR is merged.

I'll run this locally using act and report back here.

Scratch that. I was not able to run the actions using act, because it doesn't seem to run on newer macs. So maybe, if this looks OK, you can merge it and I can iterate on remaining issues on a separate PR?
