Hello I'm trying to use Paperwork 1.2.4-20-ga29c3cb on Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon 64 Bit. The Brother DCP-130C works fine with Simple Scan but not with Paperwork. I get the following error. Is there a work around?

INFO paperwork.frontend.util.actions Action: [Scan a single page] INFO paperwork.frontend.util.config Will scan using net:127.0.0.1:brother2:bus2;dev1 WARNING paperwork.frontend.util.config Exception while configuring scanner: <class 'pyinsane2.sane.rawapi.SaneException'>: <class 'pyinsane2.sane.rawapi.SaneStatus'> : Data is invalid (4) ERROR paperwork.frontend.util.config <class 'pyinsane2.sane.rawapi.SaneStatus'> : Data is invalid (4) Traceback (most recent call last):

Cheers Ivan

Just an up date. I read some other issues that were submitted where users were told to test their scanner with Ironscanner. Ironscanner found my scanner fine and scanned a document fine. The report was submitted. Shame that Open Paperwork doesn't work as well as Ironscanner.

Cheers Ivan

Sorry pushed wrong button

1) Do you use the Flatpak version of Paperwork ?

2) Can you do a scan test with IronScanner please ? It will send a detailed report to openpaper.work, containing much more detailed informations than what Paperwork can provide. edit: I missed your last comment, sorry

Can you just tell me which report on openpaper.work/scanner_db is yours ? I can't find your exact model.

Nevermind, I found it .. :)

jflesch commented 6 years ago

That's weird. There is strictly no error in the IronScanner report. Do you always get this same error with Paperwork ? oO

Anyway, your ticket looks almost like a duplicate of #46
