It's a bit of a gyp to call the project "open" photometry and not release the source code, even though it's mostly a pre-existing open source project - second the hope that the source will become available soon!
Particularly, support for Linux is high on my wish list and the original had it, so with the source available, re-enabling that Linux support might be eminently doable and I don't doubt there would be people wanting to help...
