Thanks for creating this PR :) I didn't review the code yet, but at a first glance everything looks ok.

Some first remarks:

• I see the CI is throwing an error because it can't find a secret. I fixed this issue in the openpipelines-bio/openpipeline@main branch. Could you merge the upstream branch into yours to resolve this issue?
• Could you add something to the changelog describing the new functionality?
