Stack overflow all over this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20647610/verr-vmx-msr-vmxon-disabled-when-starting-an-image-from-oracle-virtual-box

I saw that earlier, I tried a hardware scanner I know, it shows my virtualization as off but available, I and even went as far as shutting it off as some suggested on that thread, and powering off after saving, then enabling and powering off after saving... no love. I'm looking for Bios updates but the one I have is newer than the ones on their site.

Any ideas?

Not sure, i have had to do that power off thing before on some workstations before to get the virtualization changes to stick.

It is interesting that that other Thinkpad used had a similar issue, fixed with a BIOS update. All my of experience has been on dell hardware/bios.

Out of ideas, sorry.

Problem Resolved Dong Mingh pointed out that on the Thinkpad BIOS you setup virtualization non under CPU - Virtualization (that's just there to drive you insane) you set it up under Security - CPU - Virtualization

Thanks all!
