spotify: json, bearer (password auth or oauth e.g. facebook)
apple: cookie (2FA auth)

Apple: 2FA
Spotify: user/pass or external oauth platform (FB, Google, etc)

=> best way to overcome login problem might be to use a browser plugin and guide the user to export the data from platforms. we also investigate in #33 if the simple user/pass login mechanism of Spotify can be automated.
