This feature is in the works and will be developed on the soon-to-be-released the next-gen power pack.
It's great to hear that this feature is being developed for the next-gen power pack. However, since the new power pack represents a significant hardware upgrade and a substantial investment for users (almost a third of the system cost, I would imagine), it would be ideal to ensure this feature is also accessible to existing users with the current controller and power pack.
This would not only enhance the value of the current system but also demonstrate a commitment to supporting the broader user base. Could we explore the feasibility of implementing this functionality in the current firmware or as part of a software update for existing systems?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Use Case This feature would help pilots achieve maximum efficiency while climbing to altitude by:
Displaying the climb rate to power ratio would simplify adjustments, enabling pilots to find optimal settings despite the complexity of variables like power, brake, and trim.
Proposed Solution Enhance the firmware (or develop a custom branch) to calculate and display the real-time ratio of climb rate to power output. This feature would provide actionable insights, helping pilots optimize their performance during climbs.
