JP2 (JPEG 2000 Part 1) validator and properties extractor. Jpylyzer was specifically created to check that a JP2 file really conforms to the format's specifications. Additionally jpylyzer is able to extract technical characteristics.
I just added some new unit tests that use the jpylyzer test corpus. This all works on my system, but might need some final review before the 2-1 release, esp.:
Documentation - added some instructions to the howto prepare a release document but I'm not 100% sure about this section as I don't quite understand how/when the TEST_DEPS variable in setup.py is used.
Travis file: might need to update pytest --cov=jpylyzer to include the new tests.
Enable running some of these tests (esp. test_validation_outcome, test_xml_is_valid) on other data sets like openjpeg-data.
