There are a couple of bundled third-party libraries in the external directory, mostyl four years old or more. At least jqModal has seen some development since. We should check which libs can be updated, or ideally installed via Bower

Note: ui.multiselect.js is no longer maintained, a successor is available here: https://github.com/yanickrochon/jquery.uix.multiselect (but it requires jquery 1.8+)
