This is about shaping existing GPL Linux kernel drivers for the PVR/SGX5 architecture so that they can become accepted into drivers/staging. It is NOT about reverse engineering or user-space components (firmware and libraries). Just the device driver. There may also be some glue code here for interfacing to the processor of the SoC (OMAP, Sunxi, Poulsbo, Cedarview, jz4780).
Is it possible to use this with poulsbo in its current state? It would be nice to have xvideo and opengl with newer kernels and x servers. What else is required to get this up and running? I don't really understand how it all fits together. I am currently using https://github.com/EMGD-Community/intel-binaries-linux and I have also seen https://github.com/nicman23/emgd_ddx. Thank you!
