No editing needed. Just more investigation on your side should help: try to switch advanced adhesion model off (in-game Ctrl+Alt+x, or Options in the menu). You should also check the consistency of your ENG vs. CVF files. Sometimes MSTS is more fault-tolerant than ORTS.

I think this same problem occurs with the default Accella.

May I ask you to check this issue? Is it still here?

In original MSTS the EN57 EMU of PKP (can be downloaded at http://andrzejlandrzej.trainsim.pl/jednostki3.php ) accelerates at good rate. The prototype units have throttle notches as following: -idle (0%, duh) -rhesistor ride (up to 20 km/h, 15%) -serial connected motors (up to 45 km/h, 25%) -parallel connected motors (up to 60 km/h, 60%) -three shunt notches (up to the maximum speed of 110 km/h, 80%, 85% and 100%)
In MSTS it all works similiar to the real thing (not extactly, but still). However, ORTS makes everything way different. In ORTS, rhesistor ride allows to speed up to only 5 km/h with serious difficulties. To reach higher speeds, the player has to switch onto parallel connection immediately in order to actually start, which is totally non-realistic when compared to the real EMU.
So where's the problem? Eng files need editing, right?
