"Long COVID" - NICE Guidelines #55

"Long COVID has been well described in the literature without specific case definition. NICE have released clinical guidelines on managing the long-term effects of COVID-19.

As part of this work they have recommended snomed-ct codes.

This codelist will use these codes to support research into "long covid" as defined by NICE.

There are other codes that may be indivative of "long covid" e.g. 1325051000000101 Newcastle post-COVID syndrome Follow-up Screening Questionnaire (assessment scale) we will capture these in a separate codelist

Both NHSD and NICE refer to Acute COVID-19 infection (1325171000000109) in their sections on long COVID. I'm not including in any of our codelists to support work on "long covid". We should use other codelists for this.
