I found a work around to what we discussed @alexwalkercebm. I don't think that currently you can do return_expectations for patient.satisfying as you have an error as string objects cannot use pop.
To work round this, I put all COPD exacerbation and LRTI itno one codelist called COPD exacerbations and used this.
