[Feature Request] / [RFC] Revisit partner data maintenance process #3034

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

We need to improve the ease by which new partners can submit their information to us for inclusion in our partner page, as well as improve the ease by which their information is edited and changed.

As we're leaning on Airtable more and more, I'd like to use Airtable as the source of truth, but some questions remain that need to be nailed down.

  1. Do we still want Github PR's to be part of the process?
  2. Do we want web forms on the site that go to a human for verification prior to being included in our list of partners?
  3. Do we want both, and have the completion of a web form create a github issue for follow up for an audit trail?
  4. Where do humans need to be involved in the process if at all?
  5. Should it still start with an issue that we provide a much more fully-featured issue request template for so as to limit variations in the data provided by potential partners?

Describe the solution you'd like to see

If anyone has a stake in how this is handled, offer your comments here and I'll schedule a meeting so that we can both define the process to follow, as well as implement the technical solution to minimize human input and provide guard-rails.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I cannot continue creating .md files by hand for every partner who can't file a PR.
