Both are helpful. Also please look over the markdown files that were already in the repo to make sure our stuff is compliant - especially the stuff in RELEASING to make sure our version numbers match, etc.

At some point, I'm going to start pulling in some of the PR check safeguards from OpenSearch core.

The fact that I could have clicked "Squash and Merge" without approving scares me.
