OUI FIgma DS: Create standards for Figma component building and produce guidelines #6
Use the nav bar or context menu as an example to come up with guidelines on best practices
Present multiple approaches for creating responsive and customizable complex components in Figma (leveraging Figma's Auto-Layout, component swapping and Variants).
Review best practice options and approaches with the team.

Guidelines should promote the following:
Components are responsive leveraging Figma’s Auto-Layout, from within (internally) or from without (externally), if applicable, to align with components as they are coded
Components can be resized externally to align with a grid or page layout, if applicable
Component heights and widths auto-resize based on the content, if applicable
Components with multiple states, styles or variations leverage Figma’s Variants using properties and values that accurately reflect the properties used in code
