I am seeking the latest firmware as the current firmware has some issues and bugs described below:
Anyview Cast: When screen mirroring to the TV got failed the TV freezes completely. The function of screen mirroring is working properly when connection is successful. Just in situations when connection got failed for some reason that I don’t know the TV freezes and the only way to get it back to normal mode is to disconnect the power cord then reconnect again as you will see in the attached video.(Moreover I hope in a new firmware update the TV will be able to screen mirror or cast with iPhone handsets as well)
App icon thumbnail: When I add any App from Opera Store (the built-in App store for the TV) to the TV App menu. The App will be added in the menu however no icon thumbnail will be appearing in the menu just blank space!! I tried factory reset but had the same issue. Attached video for your reference.
Internal media player: The TV internal media player is outdated as it is not able to play media files bigger than 3GB. It always says that media is not supported for files more than 3GB although the file format is MP4 media with standard 1080p HD quality. Attached a video for demonstration.
Blur and Judder issue: Although the TV supports Ultra Smooth Motion however the TV shows much blur and stutter in fast scenes like action movies or football matches(you will see the ball movement stutter in passes). Unfortunately the UI doesn’t give the ability to manually customize Blur and Judder reduction levels like other Hisense TVs (other Hisense TVS have almost 6 modes for Ultra Smooth Motion(- Off-Custom-Film-Clear-Standard-Smooth-). My TV UI has only three modes(Off-Clear-Smooth). I hope updated software will give better processing for Ultra Smooth Motion function and add more modes including Custom Mode so that Blur and Judder can be customized manually.
MPEG Noise Reduction control: Although this function exists in almost all Hisense UI and TVs older and newer than my TV .However this picture control function is not included in my TV UI. I hope the new software will include this function in the new UI.
HDR with Windows 10: I am sure that my TV has HDR function however when connecting my laptop to the TV through HDMI 60hz port with Enhanced HDMI enabled mode. The Windows 10 does not recognize my TV as supporting HDR video streaming or even using HDR as you will see in the attached photo!! I hope the new software will fix this issue so that consumers can watch HDR content from a laptop/PC on the TV.
OTA update: The current software is not linked to Hisense servers to receive automatic updates. I hope the new software will be automatically updated OTA. (please answer that question: Will this model be updated to the K version or it will be limited to J versions only?)
