Hello everyone, I'm using the latest versiong of bimserver (1.3.0 RC6) on my local pc (OS: Windows 7, 64 bit). The server works perfectly. But I'm trying to load a project from bimserver using bimsurter its not able to do so, getting the following error in the server log: java.lang.NullPointerException at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeOwningUser(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:927) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcPropertiesRoot(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:893) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcPropertiesObjectDefinition(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:844) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcPropertiesObject(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:828) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcPropertiesProduct(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:809) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcPropertiesElement(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:615) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.writeIfcProperties(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:519) at org.bimserver.geometry.jsonshell.SceneJsShellSerializer.write(SceneJsShellSerializer.java:161) at org.bimserver.plugins.serializers.EmfSerializer.writeToOutputStream(EmfSerializer.java:111) at org.bimserver.plugins.serializers.EmfSerializerDataSource.writeToOutputStream(EmfSerializerDataSource.java:60) at org.bimserver.servlets.DownloadServlet.service(DownloadServlet.java:254) at org.bimserver.servlets.RootServlet.service(RootServlet.java:100) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:848) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHolder.handle(ServletHolder.java:698) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler.doHandle(ServletHandler.java:519) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.ScopedHandler.handle(ScopedHandler.java:138) at org.eclipse.jetty.security.SecurityHandler.handle(SecurityHandler.java:564) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.session.SessionHandler.doHandle(SessionHandler.java:213) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.ContextHandler.doHandle(ContextHandler.java:1097) at org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.ServletHandler.doScope(ServletHandler.java:446) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.session.SessionHandler.doScope(SessionHandler.java:175) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.ContextHandler.doScope(ContextHandler.java:1031) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.ScopedHandler.handle(ScopedHandler.java:136) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.HandlerWrapper.handle(HandlerWrapper.java:97) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.Server.handle(Server.java:445) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.HttpChannel.handle(HttpChannel.java:269) at org.eclipse.jetty.server.HttpConnection.onFillable(HttpConnection.java:229) at org.eclipse.jetty.io.AbstractConnection$ReadCallback.run(AbstractConnection.java:358) at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.QueuedThreadPool.runJob(QueuedThreadPool.java:601) at org.eclipse.jetty.util.thread.QueuedThreadPool$3.run(QueuedThreadPool.java:532) at java.lang.run(Unknown Source)

Note: I've created a project and checked in an ifc file (which is opened in solibri) to that project.. Any ideas or suggestions??

Thanks in advance...

I have BimSurfer(HEAD) and BimServer (1.3 RC6) running and working well together. The IFC files I used where exported from Revit as well. I am not sure what you have different on your system.

What version of Java are you running? (I am running JDK 1.7 x64 on Windows 7 x64)

I'm running JDK 1.7.0_21 x64 on windows 7 x64.......

Line 927 refers to owning user.
Have you tried downloading the model using the Administrator user? If you are trying to download the model using a user account different than the one used to create the project, that could be the cause.

I've just click "show in 3d" button from server viewer (Bimvie) when logged in as admin... :( Is it Bimsurfer internal problem??

Was this database created when you installed/ran 1.3 RC6 or is it a database from a previous RC?

Try the new bimserver 1.3 and bimvie.ws
