Hey @dkuep Thanks for posting this! Could you create a PR for this job? That way it'll show up on our website http://opensourcedesign.net/jobs/.
If you're not sure on how to do that, just give us the basic details:

refugeewiki.org is an open, common license platform collecting important information for refugees, organizations and volunteers. We want to give advice for refugees, on the asylum process in europe and to help get in touch with local aid organizations. On the other hand we want to give advice on how to get involved as a volunteer and help organizations to connect and build a strong network amongst everyone involved.
@simonv3 I gave it a try but I didn't see where I can add a pull request
@guaka It's described in the README of this repo: https://github.com/opensourcedesign/jobs#submit-a-job
Was this closed because it's been submitted? @razetime @skddc @guaka? If not, I think we should keep it open until it has been submitted.
@simonv3 Ok, then. [[selfie-placeholder-0]]
Did you have a proposal for this yet? I can help with a logo!
Hey @elioqoshi, thanks for your help:) no there is no proposal, you can be rather free in your design. Basic requirements would be a rather square format (will be used on the wiki, Facebook and twitter, eventually print), it should incorporate the domain and somehow represent what we are trying to accomplish: collectively building a information and communication platform for refugees and local volunteers. on a personal note, i really don't like the 'refugees welcome' logo... but thats another story ;)
Hey @dkuep what do you think about this?
Hey @elioqoshi, im sorry for the late reply - we had a team skype yesterday and i wanted to get back to you with everyones feedback. but first of allTHANK YOU so much for your work :) First impressions were Olympics (well..), Lighthouse, Defence Tower etc. But on discussion the logo we got into liking the idea of the UNICEF/WHO-kind bay wreath + lighthouse for information. Could you add some kinda "beam" to enforce the lighthouse and to get away from the defense tower feel and a something to point out the information character (e.g. a "W" in the top for wiki or a "i" for information) and the network attempt of the page (no idea how to do this) greets, Dennis
Hey @dkuep thanks! It's supposed to be a torch more, than a lighthouse, I thought that was self explaining :) Currently, the logo sports the same colors Wikimedia project use, so I'd refrain from adding lightbeams, as it would make it too complicated and a bit unnecessary in my humble opinion. We can add of course the wordmark underneath. What do you think?
Hey, sorry, getting back to uni took most of my time these days... We had the problem the torch plus bay wreath was getting a lot towards olympic games. Thats why we tried thinking of it as a lighthouse which would more fit the information/communication part. how do you see this?
That's a good point. Will remove the torch and see how I can depict a lighthouse :)
Has this logo been created? Can this issue be closed?
@ei8fdb I failed to follow up here. Is this still needed? Quite busy times before holidays
A small summary that for this issue:
The Refugeewiki.org has no activity for more than 1 year. A variant would be to close this issue as WontFix and reuse the logo for another project (put it in a public pool maybe).
And done.
Hey everyone out there :) we are just starting an open, common license repository to collect information for refugees, organizations and volunteers. Please get in touch if you can support us with a nice, welcoming logo :)
Many thanks in advance, Dennis
