Thanks for continuing this! :)
Some thoughts on this:
Since we are a collective about connecting open source designers, spreading the word and heightening the profile of design in open source, I always prefer us to act as a hub which links to resources, articles and presentations at the source. In my opinion, only talks about Open Source Design itself or which have been made as a collaborative effort (and ideally are also always evolving) make sense to be stored centrally. This includes the necessity to be able to edit and give the presentation – so we need the source files incl speaker notes.
We e.g. already have https://github.com/opensourcedesign/opensourcedesign.github.io/tree/master/presentations where we put the yearly FOSDEM status presentation. Further slides could be something like a presentation to get funding for OSD, calls to work together with universities, etc – talks which can be collaborative, given by anyone, and can be regularly updated.
Especially since the speakers (in these cases @ei8fdb @evalica @jdittrich etc.) might work further on their slides, update them – I think it is much better to link to these talks rather than save them to have them get outdated. (This is very similar with the "fonts" and "icons" repository.)
Good idea. I'll close this.
