[QUESTION] Linux Command Line Client available? #83

Open Maverick87Shaka opened 1 year ago

Dear all, it's not an issue but just a question, I would like to know if there is (already) a command line client for Linux. Basically I would like to run by a scripts several times for a day the test from a monitoring machine to some other servers, and I need to use a command line to grab the output to make it readable by the monitoring tool ( nagios )

Thanks

No, but there will soon be a command-line client.

Amazing news! There is any ETA for the command line client?

I was working on this in late 2022, but my priorities have changed. I have now moved this to my to-do list. I will make it happen, but I am not actively working on it right now. That is why I cannot commit to a timeframe.

i also look forward to a cli client, one that is multi-arch multi-platform so that i can run it on raspberry pi one of the neat things about openspeedtest is that i can run it on my nanopi r5s router and test devices on my wifi 6 & 2.5gbit network

Hello from the future :)

I do wish that there will be a CLI method or a linux terminal method to run a speedtest (say from a Synology DSM, fetch file from openspeedtest then spit out a report). Any update on when it may become a reality? @openspeedtest
