Report Deceased Child does not work; one can record vaccines and growth for a child marked as deceased

Steps

  1. Login into the GIZ Malawi App
  2. Navigate to the Child Register
  3. Click on a Child to get to the Child profile
  4. Click on the three dots on the top right
  5. Click on Report Deceased, fill in the form and click SAVE
  6. Navigate to the Child register and search the child

I was not able to reproduce this. I followed the same steps as Josphat.

Device: Galaxy A11 smartphone (not a tablet) Android version: 12 App version: 0.4.7-beta

After filling in the Report Deceased form, I clicked "CONFIRM" and the app redirected me to the Child Register. From there, I could not find the child in any of the register.

I tried this twice, using different responses in the Report Deceased form (home vs. health facility, changed dates, changed cause of death), and both times the child disappeared from the register.

This has been resolved in 6bd8dfa (#506) and will be released in the next APK

I have tested this issue. I was able to report a child as deceased and the child does not appear in the search. I found a bug related to this however where one can still record vaccines for a deceased child right after you report them as dead.

Here are the steps I took:

  1. Login into the GIZ Malawi App
  2. Navigate to the Child Register
  3. Click on a Child to get to the Child profile
  4. Click on the three dots on the top right
  5. Click on Report Deceased, fill in the form and click SAVE
  6. After I clicked save, I was taken back to the child's registration page and I was able to record vaccines.
  7. When I returned back to the list of children, I was not able to search for the child however.

Here is the video of the bug I found:
