Design for PNC

This is a request to design the PNC workflows as previously discussed and based on the data dictionary here.

The workflows for PNC are as shown below:

Special Considerations

• There are 4 PNC Visits which are scheduled at specified intervals, though there is the possibility of having more than 4 visits 0-48 hours (PNC 1) 3 - 7 days (PNC 2), 8 - 42 days (PNC 3, 4)

• Multiple babies can be born and thus there needs to be a way of recording the baby status information per child

• Each child will be created in the child register and thus immunizations would be best recorded in the vaccination card and the info viewed from PNC

• Profile view should show the relevant information in a consistent way. We have the overview information, the delivery history, the recurring visit information and the PNC Schedule

@hmakandi I think we discussed, but my memory is fuzzy:

• If it happens between the official visits, how does a PNC visit work as far as the data dictionary question asking about which PNC visit it is? Is it possible to record a PNC visit in between PNC 2 and 3?
• Does the third bullet mean that a child profile is create in the child module/register as soon as a live baby is recorded in the "new pnc" or "maternity outcome" forms — and that immunization information beyond birth immunizations will be recorded via the child profile and not the PNC?

@rowo It was advised that the number of visits can vary based on the woman's condition. The standard visit is 4, but if there are complications it can go up to many. So I think the general idea is to increment each visit each time the woman comes in.

For the child, there was no wait period for the child to be in Child's register. Advise provided was that in the PNC visit, the child is referred to the child's clinic for immunizations after the initial ones due at birth . Since we have immunization on Child Health, it would be best to keep that information consistently on the child's vaccine card, and maybe reference it from PNC if needed.

Few conversations happening in Slack 2 April. Main issue might be:

• Re: dictionary comment thread — It seems like the scheduling does impact this because there is no expiration defined, even if the initial due dates are determined by PNC day. I added a column in the schedule tab for expiration (though I think the currently-defined intention is they never expire). So in this case, if someone just did PNC 1 (according to the app) on day 20 (even if PNC 1 and 2 were done elsewhere, so PNC 3 was actually selected by the user), PNC 2 would be immediately overdue after submitting PNC 1 according to the schedule.
• So depending on how visits are supposed to work, potentially we don't have specific PNC visit numbers, but just a sequential visit schedule. I.e. if you miss visits 2 and 3, would it start off at 4 or go to 2 even though it's officially PNC day for visit 4??

Conclusion from 7 Apr team call:

• not using PNC visit numbers
• adding some fields to capture
• removing field about selecting PNC visit number (so won't run into that dissonance of what was selected vs. displayed)
• not changing scheduled based on previous-to-that-day activity
• don't have to display anything but the visits entered into the phone — and we will display as "PNC Visit - date"
