@zroehr I don't think there's a way for us to do this in the markup. What are your thoughts?
We discussed this as part of microbiology. Please refer to #1514
Alana to discuss with David. WN: "continued" labeling of table going onto another page would be an improvement.
We can close this issue, duplicate of #1514
EDIT: Ignore me I am none too smart.
I think @helenemccarron mentioned changing the http://www.princexml.com/doc/6.0/properties/prince-caption-page/ style to be first
so the table caption (& maybe column headers?) only show up on the 1st page. Would that work?
Yes, the issue is that currently, we cannot have more than one caption, anything extra is lost during the transform process. It also takes everything in the caption and "flattens" it (<caption><span>text </span> text </caption>
). Any class is discarded in the process. I talked to Ross and explained the issue to him.
Can be sustain but needs lead dev from textbook dev. /cc @zroehr
Affects every single title that has a table. Need a list somewhere. :P
Revisit as part of CTE = May need Phil's input.
Is there a better milestone we can assign this to since this is CTE work and not part of the bug fix cycle?
This has been resolved.

Table title, ID number, and caption repeating when table breaks across pages. We know this has been functionality on other titles, but if it can be managed given advances in technology/design/control, it would be helpful. This can be confusing to students, who see a table number/caption as a sign of the end of a table, when they actually have more table to learn/study for class discussion, quizzes, etc.
