col10039. Found while regression testing Prince updates. On this page, originally it was footnote 3, now it's footnote 2.

This is likely not due to the Prince update, but rather an existing issue with the numbering of footnotes in titles of tables that break across pages.

What is the version of prince installed on this server?

From the Prince 9.0 release notes:

"Fixed bug where footnotes in table headers and captions were repeated on subsequent pages."

Currently it's Prince 8.1 rev 5. The bug was found in the original PDF (in Prince 8) during Prince regression testing. I anticipate the Prince update will fix this issue, so I'll reassign it to the Prince update milestone (whatever that is).

To clarify for testing: if there's a footnote reference in a table that breaks across pages, it should only appear once in the PDF.

This may be tough to test due to the way content is laid out, e.g., in the most recent Biology PDF, this same table fit onto a single page.

Cannot reproduce this bug to test.
