only standart attributes in favorites #7631

Hello,

favorites are a great thing in iD, I missed this feature for a long time.

In actual version I dont found a way to create a favorite, with more then the standart attributes.

e. g.

amenity=bench

I need: amenity=bench material=wood backrest=yes seats=3

I need also more then one favorite for "Bench", each with different attributes.

Also more then one favorite for ways, with different surfaces, and so on.

In my opinion, the best way is, the user create an objekt with all attributes he needs, then the user can set this object as an favorite.

Kind Regards

Hi and welcome, @Katze0815. Thanks for testing the v3 preview branch! I'm glad you're finding preset favorites helpful. Custom favorites are a logical next step, but we still need to ship the initial version before we can expand it further.

For now, you can copy and paste a selected feature with keyboard shortcuts to quickly add duplicate features with the same tags.

Hi,

I'm glad too, to hear custom favorites will comming!

Actually I use a the software ReMouse, that record mouse moves and keyboard actions. I can replay the recorded actions with different keyboard shortcuts. With this I can create userdefind objetcs in a fraction of a second.

No question, a solution integrated in iD is the best way.

Thank you for your work to make iD better and better!

Kind Regards

@Katze0815 No hard promises here, but this is something I think we should look into eventually to see if it's a fit for iD. I doubt it'd happen anytime soon though.

... on yes, iD need this!

Favorites are good, but the mappers need custom favorites. I spend not the most time not to place new objects, I spend most time to edit the attributes. And custom favorites will save a lot of time!
