Classic web mapping mistake. We've got a big fat marker image, but the "anchor point" is still set as a normal-sized marker image (or maybe it defaults to the centre of the image. Not sure)
Look at the point on the map where the pointing tip of the marker is pointing. It drifts as we zoom. Zoom out far enough and it points at Africa!
Practically speaking it's not a big issue. But it is a classic bodge.
