That block is blocked because a lot of diary spam was originating from there. How widely does your IP vary?

What kind of spam it was (email, comments, map commits, etc?) and when? As I know (don't sure) VolgaTelecom got this IP pool recently. Do you have any info who can send a spam?

It was diary comments - a whole load of accounts were created over a period of time and used to post spam diary entries.

Guys, please unblock 95.84.0.0/18 -- it is impossible to work!

Um that block is completely different to the address you originally reported having a problem with... So which blocks exactly is it you need unblocking?
In fact 95.84.0.0/18 is not blocked! 88.147.196.0/17 is blocked which is the block containing the original address you mentioned?

As I know ISP own several network blocks. 88.147.196.0/17 is one of them. Right now I have a 88.147.225.32 address, and http://www.openstreetmap.org doesn't work for me ;(

These blocks have now been lifted. I have added (but not used as yet) the capability to block account creation from certain IP ranges which I will use to block these ranges if the spam starts to come back again but in any case people with existing accounts will be able to continue using them.

Issue appears fixed, ticket tidying.

http://www.openstreetmap.org generate a 403 error (forbidden) when I'm trying to connect it at home. Last time my IP was 88.147.205.228 (it is not a static IP). But it works perfectly when I use another ISP (e.x. at work)
