In my city in Brazil (Porto Alegre) there are several cycling lanes on the left side of the way (usually on divided ways, which are also oneway). Is it possible to render a blue line on the respective side of the cycleway for cycleway:left=lane/track and cycleway:right=lane/track without a cycleway=lane/track tag?

Perhaps as a stopgap, we could have cycle lanes:left/right just get rendered as a normal cycleway=lane. Otherwise, we have a lot of bike lanes not showing up at all.

cycleway:left=lane doesn't render a cycle lane as a blue casing on just the left hand side of the road in the same way that cycleway=lane does for both sides of the road.
An example way for cycleway:left=lane is 116500351. This can be seen in the centre of this map: http://www.opencyclemap.org/?zoom=17&lat=51.27699&lon=1.08768&layers=B00
It's the short oneway portion going westbound from the roundabout Longport. It connects to a subsequent short way just west of it that has a normal cycleway=lane and the cycle lane shows fine for that portion.
Presumably this is also true for cycleway:right=lane.
