identify places to buy carbon offsets #28

Find some places where we could buy carbon offsets for the Decarbonization DAO

We want something like the Gold Standard Marketplace, where we could buy offsets from specific projects rather than generic names. It does not have to be in crypto.

@hai-yr Does patch.io have a web UI, or is everything through their API?

Do they allow choosing a specific project to purchase?

Is that specified in the UI?

Do they have a list of projects available on their website?

Yes, it can be done either through the API or through a marketplace in the dashboard. The project list is available for those who have requested access and you can sort by standards (ACR, CAR, VCS, puro.earth, BCarbonStandard, and UK Woodland Carbon Code), project types (reforestation, mineralization, gas capture etc.), or mechanisms (avoidance, removal). There is of course a fee on top of the credits sold, so if it is easy to access a particular credit you want more directly than it might make less sense to use Patch.
