@Queeniebee OpenWRT is not needed for Linux or Mac. Only for routers.
The Mac client is still in prototype state, only really runs in XCode, and isn't yet compatible with Commotion 1.0. The next step will be updating it according to the commotion-client architecture doc on the commotion wiki (https://wiki.commotionwireless.net/doku.php?id=commotion_architecture:commotion_client_architecture).
For what it's worth, the Windows client is in a near-identical state.
Linux is in a state where it really should have build/install instructions. It is already using the new architecture.
I'm going to close out this issue and move it to Commotion-Meshbook, Commotion-Windows, and Commotion-Linux so their respective maintainers don't miss them.
Desktop installation for Commotion on Linux and Mac OS X unclear. Not sure whether OpenWRT is needed to install before downloading Linux packages and Mac Meshbook. Linux README files are not available on website. Commotion-Meshbook doesn't have documentation, so instructions on setting up development environment on Mac for Linux could be helpful.
