In /admin/commotion/apps/settings:

So right now there's Community/Collaboration/Fun, and each have an icon to remove -- except Fun, which is the bottom-most listing. The "remove" button only shows up after you press the "new" button to add a new category.

You can just remove the text from the input field and save, to remove the category. The add/remove buttons for those fields are built-in LuCI javascript, so I'm not sure if we should attempt to fix it.
