Thanks for this contribution. I had been thinking about just having Prosody in the chapter and putting other examples in the appendix but I've just accepted it like this for now.
Thanks. Yeah, agreed, documenting all possible software for these services makes the document heavier -- however, I think it is unavoidable if you want to be broad about the goal. Having multiple implementations in there also opens up for a section to discuss the merits of each implementation, something that otherwise can feel a bit out of place.
This mention how to install and setup jabberd2 which is what I'm using as a XMPP server. As far as I understand, it should work as well as prosody or ejabberd. The name to use for the server hostname may need to be tweaked depending on resolution of #1.
