MyPaint brushes picked up from the wrong path in Linux #1922

Open geloescht opened 6 years ago

geloescht commented 6 years ago

On my compile of OpenToonz 1.2, only brushes in "\~/.local/share/mypaint/brushes" are usable, instead of "\~/.config/OpenToonz/stuff/library/mypaint brushes". I had to copy my brushes there. Can someone else using Linux confirm this? I haven't built from this repository, so I don't know if maybe a wrong version of libmypaint was used.

Ubuntu 16.04, 64-bit

I can't reproduce. Please, attach here .myb and _prev.png files which don't work.

geloescht commented 6 years ago

I could attach brushes, but they all work. They're just not visible as long as they are in their original folder and must be moved to "~/.local/share/mypaint/brushes" to make them show up. Checked again this time with a bit more recent build. (built myself)

I can confirm the same behavior using debian/sid and the system libmypaint-1.3-0:amd64 (1.3.0-2)

default-brushes

Copying from/to the directories mentioned make the other brush available.

Before running with the system official version I had installed the one from deb-multimedia.org and it was showing much more brushes (can't confirm the same from the copied directory, I don't know if that one had installed more brushes or just added the opentoonz brushes path to the search path)

If Linux users can confirm this is still an issue... here in 2022... that will be appreciated. Thanks!
