Document examples for v0.31 #240

We have a number of good examples now, but they currently have no comments, which can make them hard to dissect. If each example had a comment describing the problem scenario, and a one or two sentence description of the solution, this would be a good start to the "OT Cookbook" we've been talking about for a while.

Sounds like we should close this as #242 introduced such brief descriptions.
