Linux: Possible to make it act like a head tracker instead of a joystick? #1429

I finished setting up opentrack on ubuntu along with AITrack and I understand that the output libevdev emulates a controller. However when playing American/Euro Truck Simulator looking left for example works fine. However going back to center does not work. I have to look to the right to make it go right and towards the center. Is there any way to make this more like a headtracker?

There's nothing special in how rotating left and right is handled on Linux virtual joystick output. This appears to be ingame control configuration issue.
