!OpenTransit? !TripPlanner? !OpenTripPlanner? Something else?

Nice logo, Frank!

I like both OpenTripPlanner and TripPlanner myself and would be happy going with either of them.

(Sorry for the slow response; I've just finally returned from my vacation and am still catching up on everything.)

As part of #13 we settled on OpenTripPlanner as the name for the project.

Thanks for the logo, Frank. We had put it at the top of the site initially, but then decided to take it off, mostly out of trademark-ish concerns, and because we hadn't really had a discussion about it. But I think we should definitely open up a conversation/exploration of logo & branding at some point soon.

What do you think about a temporary logo to use in the meantime while we discuss longer-term options? Attached is one simple option. Thoughts?

As part of the wiki cleanup/revamp I'm doing, I'd like to move or delete the existing OpenTripPlanner page, since we've firmly settled on our domain, name and acronym and it's a bit weird that (since Trac autolinks) OpenTripPlanner points to that page all over the site.

Frank, are you cool with this? Should be put what's currently on the OpenTripPlanner page on a new Branding page or just remove it?

Whoops, didn't notice you weren't on the cc :D

{{{ If the OTP logo is not going to be used, it's fine to remove it. }}}

I've moved the logo ideas from OpenTripPlanner to a new stub [wiki:Branding Branding] so we'll have them for future branding discussions.

OTP has a name and logo now. Closing.
