Project proposal for SD-JWT in Rust. #23

Hi there, the DSR team is happy to apply our experience in Rust language and selective disclosure verifiable credentials to SD-JWT and the OpenWallet Foundation initiative. We'd like to propose the initial implementation of the latest version of the standard.

As a first step, we suggest having a minimal rust crate similar to Python implementation. We have PoC implementation, and if the Foundation approves the approach, we will be ready to open the codebase under the Apache 2.0 license in a few days.

Some other Rust implementations exist, but the ones we know are outdated or under inappropriate licenses.

Is this a separate project surely we need to ensure coordination across the other SD-JWT projects.
