Budget radar for 2017 adopted vs 2018 proposed budget #45

If we can get the 2018 proposed budget as a CSV, then we can feed the budget radar visualization with that and the 2017 adopted budget to see what the changes look like.

I've put in the ask with Elizabeth, I'll report back here!

Heard back from Elizabeth:

That sounds like a really interesting idea. However, the dataset on the Open Data Portal is extracted from the accounting system, and the budget data has not been moved over there yet. We develop the budget in a completely separate financial system, so it’s not as easy as it sounds. I wish I could be of more help, but at this point we are very focused on the Thursday meeting. This might be the sort of thing that I could add to the list for next year since it would actually be a task that the IT Department would complete.

So it's a no go for this year, but we'll stay on it for next year.
