I would not merge this until I can test all the implications of allowing the agent to provide updates to openwisp-controller (including changing the name of the device), which is something we want but I think there are many corner cases to handle and it's not as simple as it looks, so for the moment I want to play the safe side and not merge this because we are working on other fronts which are really important for the adoption of the project.

We are using this without issues.
