@nemesifier I added a failing test case for this scenario, but the test passes. I tried to replicate the error using Web UI, but couldn't. I also tried to replicate it on the demo system, and it was working fine there as well.

Can you please take a look at the failing test case and check if it replicates the issue correctly?

coverage: 99.006%. remained the same when pulling a0d960bf9dace4e4dfa6865b826314225a43c0f5 on issues/817-duplicate-file-bug into 77858a40af9f0f4a7bf5af5b995f35fac747be37 on master.
