In my case the tx speed is ~350 but rx is around 50 and drops very quickly with distance. At around 5 meters the wifi is unusable. TP-Link RE650 with eLNA/ePA.
Same is with Mediatek 7628 for example TP-Link 840 version 6. 2 meters away and signal is 50% low. Also from latest reisions router start to stuck each 3-4 days. I am unable to print crash log because it needs power cycle. Main problem is txpower. Seems like it is working at 15db or 15Miliwatt Maybe this is the default. All mediatek chips have that txpower problems.

same with xiaomi mir3p (mt7621 with dual mt7615)... getting rates of 200mbit (on AC) while on closed-source driver could achieve 400mbit... N is also about half the speed of closed-source driver.
otherwise, congratulations and good job! very nice that it's working!
sorry just wanted to update/fix my previous post. i've done more testing, and what i see is more like 336+mbps on 5ghz and 115mbps on 2.4ghz (40mhz channel). this matches the speed of the closed-source mt7615e driver.
i'm also not seeing any significant quality drop with reasonable distance (1 very thick wall, 10-15 metres away from router)... my impression is that it's fine at even greater distances (but the network here is rather complicated so i can't be sure without testing more)....
so: fantastic work!
I only tested 5Ghz since 2.4Ghz is mostly being used by IOT anyways. I tested it using iperf on an Asus TUF FX505DT, which probably has a 2x2 antenna. It was done 12 feet from the router with no obstructions inbetween. The power mode was on high performance while testing. I did a 60 seconds run each. Surprisingly, the speeds were better than that of the Archer C7 v4.
Mi R3P Tx @20dbm channel 36, Band width 80Mhz. 160Mhz wouldn't work anyways. (without hsdma) Run 1 - 311Mbit/sec Run 2 - 339Mbit/sec
Same testing with hsdma Run 1 - 334Mbit/sec Run 2 - 338Mbit/sec
whereas my archer c7 1950 v4 with latest snapshot Run 1 - 244Mbit/sec Run 2 - 258Mbit/sec
Please try the latest version, it should work better now
Hi, I am trying to bring support to Linksys EA7500 V2 with dual MT7615 The wifi works but the AC speed is about 50~150Mbps, which is not normal because the original firmware can do ~350Mbps, Thanks!
Btw, thanks for the hard work giving us an open source driver!
