How is the hardware gets the signal quality? #134

Hi all!

I'm witing a project and I need to know how the emokit obtains the value of quality (1,2,3,4 or 5) for the render. Maybe its an electrical resistance? Can anyone tell me exactly the explication of this?

Emotiv isn't very forthcoming about this. It's mentioned briefly in the specsheet as a "patented system", so perhaps you could try tracking down the patent in question. It's a pretty safe bet that it's fundamentally a measurement of impedance though.
