We apparently need a daemon to support this.

Being familiar with FreeBSD's seamless handling of .zfs/snapshot/*, I would say that O3X's current lack of such auto mounting is a serious omission.

+1, we need this feature!!

I'd hardly call it "serious" to have to type "zfs mount" as you do with every other dataset. https://openzfsonosx.org/wiki/FAQ#Q.29_How_can_I_access_the_.zfs_snapshot_directories.3F
