Hold on, this will apply all .gitignore files at the top level of the source release. I'll refine that in a few days, review on the rest is still welcome.

Alright, I think I managed to solve the .gitignore thing cleanly now. Also added --repo, ATM you'll need to add --repo release to test the script, BECAUSE brave-karaf 0.1.2 IS OUT :fireworks:
